Cross-channelling
In a short period of time, single channel retail (one store) has developed into multi-channel retail (multiple sales channels, i.e. store and the Internet), and further developed into cross-channel retail across multiple sales channels. Cross-channel retail is all about selling products to the same customer across different channels, both traditional stores and online stores.

Our vision:
New opportunities are created by seamlessly connecting all retail channels with each other. Expanding services, improving customer service and continuing to provide added value helps retain customers. Make sure you are where your customer is, and understand the mind of your customer. A current example of this is Albert Heijn’s new Pick-up Points (locations where ordered groceries are left and can be picked up by customers on their way home).
